All I knew from the media was that there were issues but I was never prompted to research it further. After the invasion I began researching websites OVERTHERE as opposed to just reading here in the states and was heartbroken at the state of affairs. I tried to talk to my husband about what was going on and he says to me, "I don't care." My mouth dropped open and I tell him, "How can you not care about dead women and children and restricted food and supplies and downright imprisonment in their own country?" And I think he said it well in saying, "They're over there and we're over here...not my problem." because I think that statement includes the basic American view on middle eastern conflict. So bravo for this website because I am using it to educate myself so I might possibly educate others. I am somewhat ashamed now when I think about the silly things I often complain of when others in this world have to complain for the simple right to exsist. Gaza is in my prayers.
